Inside are specially formulated crystals containing propylene glycol to chemically balance the humidity level in your humidor. The crystal gels inside expand after absorbing distilled water and contract when it’s ready for a refill!

Note: The instructions for the HX-10 have been recently updated. You will only want to soak your dry unit for 4 hours on the initial fill (rather than 12 hours as previously stated). This is due to more effective crystals, which absorb the water at a faster rate and have increased water capacity.
